I’m not really sure were to begin with Bella and Tariq’s wedding. Their wedding is the first wedding I have photographed that has elements of an Indian heritage. On Friday evening I was invited to the mehndi evening. This was where family and friends gathered in Bella’s parents backyard to eat some lovely food, catch up and the ladies began having their henna painted on them. This was such a fantastic evening and really a great way to begin the celebrations of Bella and Tariq’s wedding.
Sunday morning I arrived at Braxted Park to enjoy seeing Bella getting ready with her bridesmaids and mums. There was a real buzz in the air as the girls got their beautiful sari’s fitted.
Tariq arrived to the venue in a beautiful Mustang which his father hired as a present for him for the week. He walked down the long driveway to Braxted Park led by the traditional Pakistani Dhol drummers. Thanks you to my wonderful second shooter Anna for gorgeous images.
The rest of the day passed day in one great big smile. The ceremony was so happy yet emotional, the drinks reception and sit down meal was filled with absolutely delicious food, laughing, sunshine and then dancing to some of the best old skool rnb I’ve heard in ages!
