Katya contacted me only a few months ago to see if I could photograph their secret wedding. We hit it off immediately, we both LOVE Game of Thrones and we’re both photographers, how could we not! Their plan was for them to legally get married at their uncles house which turned out to be the stunning Braxted Park, then for their closest friends to arrive and play a round of golf, then to come back to the house for a relaxed Alfresco lunch where they would say “surprise” it’s not our engagement party it’s our wedding and have a small humanist ceremony. Their plans became reality and all the food, the table settings where creatively put together by their family. Their guests where so surprised it was just brilliant to be a part of. After the speeches Phil had decided that no wedding was complete without singing so everyone was given the words to “Jerusalem” and everyone proceeded to sing their hearts out. I usually smile a lot in general but my face hurt from smiling after their wedding. It was brilliant for their dog Tonto to be part of their day and I’m even more in awe of him now I know he is related to one of the characters in Game of Thrones. I loved watching Tonto and his best doggy friend Lola the sausage dog play together while the wedding celebrations took place. Congratulations Phil and Katya. I truly wish you a long life of happiness together, I am honoured to have been part of your amazing day and applaud you for having the wedding you wanted!!!
