Last Sunday’s wedding of Aisha and Ben was a wedding I had been looking forward too. When they asked me to do their photography and told me their plans I just couldn’t say no, even though this is my busiest week all year! This couple choose every element of their day to reflect them and the style they live by. They married in the stunning Electric Palace in Harwich, had their own private carriage on the Harwich town to Manningtree train line, which is the first time anyone’s ever done this and how cool does it look all decorated in their literature vintage theme!!! They had a very groovy Elvis car take them to their party, a surprise gift from their friends (which I’m yet to confirm with my husband what kind of car it is… if you know please leave me a comment telling me!!!) and then they had gorgeous relaxed garden / tea/ cocktail party. Oh and how stunning is her Vivien Holloway dress… Everything you see see was made by them, are family heirlooms or they owned already. I was blown away with what a fantastic creative wedding it was. It was also full of tasty surprises, from refreshments and muffins on the train to a delicious hog roast with home made salads and the most AMAZING selection of cakes. What do you LOVE about this wedding.. leave me a comment and tell me!! Congratulations Ben and Aisha and thank you for such a great day. Aisha you truly blew me away with how stunning you looked all day and you both just radiated happiness, may you share a long and happy life together.

ben - have to agree with aisha, really felt like you were part of the day rather than just a snapper… thank you so much. the car was a Ford Consul, i’m sure someone more manly than me will tell you which year it was made, how many, what the optimum tyre pressure is and that sort of stuff!
Nicola Rash - Oh wow, what a unique and fun wedding! I love the paper decorations and most of all I love the mosaic!! I may have to work out how to make one of those! (I’m sure it’s fine to make decorations when you’ve already had it isn’t it?!). Great photos Jess!

ben - Nicola, it really was a fun day (i’m sure the cocktails didn’t hinder!)The mosaic was a present from Sharon made by her friend Linda and it involves a paving slab, some kind of mortar, some tiny flowers (glass i think) and it weighs a ton! Have to agree about the photos, everyone who has seen them has mentioned how well they reflect the atmosphere of the day… can’t wait to see the rest!
